The Greens is one of the most established, and most popular communities in new Dubai, a fact not unconnected to it being an Emaar development, and thus well thought out, well maintained, and of a higher build quality than the vast majority of other communities. The Greens is described as safe, walkable, green, low-rise (largely), alive, and like a small, self-contained town within a larger city.
The Greens feels self-contained. While it is not gated, it has its own character, and facilities. It has a small shopping area by its lake with a Choithram, Baskin Robbins, Book Plus. and places to eat (like Wagamama) and sit and have a coffee. For something a little stronger to imbibe residents can head over to TECOM, which has bars and restaurants based in its hotels.
The Greens has its own metro station but in summer can be too far to walk to from some areas. Visitor parking is on-street only and can be hard to find. The same can be said in neighboring TECOM.
The Greens is just off SZR, while access to Al Khail Road and Emirates Road is pretty straightforward making it well-connected to almost anywhere in the city.
